The Foster Care and Adoption team received a lovely surprise when a family that has fostered with New Directions for several years invited the entire team out to dinner after announcing that they would be leaving the program.
At the dinner, the team was presented with letters from the family thanking them for their “hard work, dedication and kindness.”

like me. If you weren’t there, I might not even be here.”
“I know you worry about me and others having a
good home and enough food to eat, but you don’t
have to worry about me anymore. I’m doing great!”
“When I was removed from my mom and dad, I
was sad, and I thought that I would never see them
again. You made it so much easier to deal with.”
“Thank you for being a source of stability and
strength for the families and individuals who rely
on you. Thank you for waking up everyday and
choosing to serve others, and thank you for making
children’s and teen’s dreams come true.”
